Things going on...

Today I had the second meeting with my new trainer. I met with her Saturday and had a consultation. Later I tried to learn how to swim. Today when we met we did some talking about heart rates. She explained more about Suzanne Edwards program and then did the heart rate testing. After the testing that showed me my personal 60% - 65% - 70% rates. Those are the fat burning zones for me. Pretty much means 111 - 120 - 130 are my ranges that match the percenta. I shouldn't be over 130 bpm to be the the fat burning zone.

I tried doing some ChaLEAN Extreme later in the morning and couldn't believe how high my heart rate went just doing the warm up. So probably doing ChaLEAN Extreme and Turbo Fire won't work with this heart rate program. I guess in really am going to have to start walking, which I find extremely boring. I hope to break that up with swimming. I like water aerobics but the trying to swim laps was interesting & kind of fun.

Other issues:
- My dryer is still crap but maybe my friend Vicki has one I can buy!
- My AC is leaking water inside. I did blow out the hose and lift it up to drain it & the water is much less but there is obviously a problem.
- I have a roommate & i feel like I want my house to myself more than I want someone else living here with me. I don't know how to even have the conversation with the roommate, plus when I do won't it just be completely awkward???
- just found out a friend passed away suddenly. He was probably in his 50's but he was just out fishing with his son. His son tried to save him. Just sad.

    You should get a good book on tape that you only listen to when you're walking (if outside) or download some trash television on your ipod or ipad or whatever and watch when you're walking. I used to watch Newlyweds and that Carmen Electra/Dave Navarro show when I lived in an apartment and didn't have cable. It was my way to force myself to be in the gym for an hour.

    I did actually email 24 Hour Fitness and Club Fitness to see if they had WiFi - I could do some NetFlix on the ipad! But Club Fitness (right by the house) has TVs on each machine so I can watch whatever is on TV. Right now my focus while walking is on my heart rate. Sounds easy, but isn't.
